Sommer GmbH is more than just a distributor, but a system supplier with a wide range of high quality services including refining products, cut and mark tubing, stranding and customer training.

Founded in 1978 as sales agency of Radiflex products, the portfolio of Sommer has continuously evolved and grown and now long-term partnerships with world leading manufacturers such as Tyco Electronics, Zeuss, Draka-Fileca, Relats, New-England Wire and Cabletec have been established.

In 1998, privately-held Sommer GmbH became a subsidiary of Diploma PLC based in London, England.
As a result of continued investment, dedicated facilities have been built in Neuhausen, close to Stuttgart Airport, to accommodate central logistics and business management.
Together with our sister company in England we now offer the largest stock of Tyco Electronics Products in Europe.
Continuous growth and business expansion during recent years has enabled the creation of sales offices and representatives in Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Cologne and Switzerland.

The Acquisition of Filcon GmbH in 2005 has enabled specialist knowledge in the connector field combined with considerable stock and manufacturing capability to be interwoven with Sommer’s core capabilities, further enhancing the capability of being a true ‘system supplier’.
